The LDN site welcomes thought provoking articles on a wide range of political and socio-economic issues that are paramount in promoting liberal democracy in Nepal. Some examples of categories and the underlying themes are presented in the section titled, Mission and Theme. The LDN online forum anticipates publishing original articles, but previously published pieces can also qualify for online posting, particularly if the article is judged to be relevant to the discourse, practice, and institutionalization of liberal democracy in Nepal. The submitted articles will go through a peer-review process by a panel of anonymous referees. After the input from the referees and the chief moderator, the theme editors will make the final decision about posting on the LDN site. The guidelines are detailed in the section titled To Contributors. The LDN referees, theme editors and moderators will judge contributions on the following broad criteria:
While the LDN forum invites submissions on a wide range of topics, the theme editors reserve the right to make the final selection from among contributions submitted. The editorial decision will be based on quality rather than length considerations. All contributors are required to submit a MS Word file through an attachment. It will be responsibility of the contributors to secure and deliver any and adequate rights to publication of previously published articles. Once the article is posted, the LDN forum requests all the participants to express their comments and opinion freely and professionally without engaging in insults and personal attacks. Our goal is to generate reader/participant comments that are focused on the issues presented in the articles. The theme editors reserve the right to edit or remove entries that are deemed inappropriate or irrelevant. The LDN forum expects utmost professional courtesy from those who post comments on the message boards. |
